To build yourself up as a thought leader - you need to create content that positions you effectively.
But what do you talk about?
The first step, is to choose the Main pillars you’ll be talking about.
Talking about the person behind the brand, helping them get to know you as an individual.
What is the mindset of the client?
What are they thinking about + struggling with?
This is where you talk about the topics you want to be known for.
As you can see by my example on the left,
under the main “get to know me” pillar - I have three sub pillars:
Once you have the sub-pillars captured,
the next step is to brainstorm at least 3 - 5 topics for each of those sub pillars.
You can add to it + change it over time.
Don’t over-think this.
The purpose of this exercise is to give you a table of topics that you can always go back to + write about when you draw a blank!

| Main piller | Sub pillar | Topic 1 | Topic 2 | Topic 3 | Topic 4 | Topic 5 | Topic 6 | Topic 7 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| **Get to know me | ||||||||
| [ME]** | ||||||||
| Tell stories | ||||||||
| Get to LIKE me [Mindset] | ||||||||
| Make a point | ||||||||
| Inspire a behaviour | ||||||||
| **Get to TRUST me | ||||||||
| [Mastery]** | ||||||||
| Teach a framework Give an exercise | ||||||||
You’ll see under the main pillars in the table above,
I highlighted the best way to communicate each of your three pillars:
Get to know me [ME]
Tell stories
Get to LIKE me [Mindset]
Make a point Inspire a behaviour
