Growing on linkedin - you need to be social. It is after all a “social network”
Commenting
Strategic commenting is critical.
But to do this right - you need to know a couple of things:
- Put yourself in front of your ideal client.
- Who are they following [check activity to see what they like + interact with].
- Is there an influencer they follow… you need to be there [on that influencers comment thread].
- Your comments need to be strategic.
- Don’t let Ai take control of this one - influencers see it a mile off
- Think about how you can add value to your ideal client
- Based on what the poster said in their post - what can you say to help your ideal client, add value, or show you’re knowledgeable. Think HELP first [not selling… that’s spammy]
- Selling happens in the DMs. Helping happens in the comments.
Here’s an example of a comment I did on Chris Do’s post.
I was actually just taking notes on the call, but leaving them in the comments so that it helped others too. Interestingly… I got a client from this thread!
